Rachael has devoted nearly 25 years to working and volunteering in the LGBTQ+ community and brings a deep cultural and personal understanding of this community. Steeped in all aspects of organizational management and communications—including strategic planning, marketing, budgeting, and fundraising—Rachael understands how to coordinate people and resources to help organizations accomplish their marketing and outreach goals. Her fierce attention to detail and interdisciplinary approach to problem-solving guide clients to successful project goals while meeting scheduling and financial targets. 

Rachael’s previous professional roles include Executive Director of Three Dollar Bill Cinema, the non-profit organization that produces The Seattle Queer Film Festival and The Seattle Transgender Film Festival, VP of Marketing & Tourism for GSBA, Public Relations Manager and LGBTQ Strategist for GreenRubino, an integrated marketing agency, and VP of Marketing & Communications for Five Senses Reeling, a touring, marketing, and events company focused on queer performing artists. 

Rachael’s volunteer roles include serving on GSBA’s Board of Directors for five years (prior to her staff position) and Board President of Seattle PrideFest and the Cal Anderson Park Alliance. She has also served as a member of the Capitol Hill Champion for 10 years–the group that advocated for incorporating community goals in the development at Sound Transit’s Link Light Rail Capitol Hill Station.

In 2018, Rachael founded RCB Communications, a boutique agency specializing in connecting businesses and organizations to the LGBTQ+ community through public relations, community relations, and marketing strategy. RCB Communication’s help clients reach their goals of activating and engaging audiences, amplifying voices, raising brand awareness, and increasing integral visibility to LGBTQ+ causes.
